Troy Martin is a freelance writer, veteran, lover of Lovecraft, and aspiring creator of dark fantasy/sci-fi speculative fiction. The majority of his childhood was spent in southern Alabama before following in his family's footsteps and joining the USAF. Over eight years of service to the military helped broaden his worldly horizons and deepen his passion for storytelling. Troy holds a BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University.

From childhood to adulthood, Troy enjoyed the works of R.L. Stine, Bruce Coville, K.A. Applegate, Terry Pratchet, Hal Duncan, Mark Chadbourn, Joe Abercrombie, H.P. Lovecraft, and many more. Pulling from the darkest recesses of fictional terror and the inkwell of his twisted imagination, he aims to bring new life to dark, fantasy/sci-fi horror and redefine fear for today's genre fanatics.

Currently, he is working on a graphic novel set in a post apocalyptic future of the Transformers universe where war has driven the Autobots and Decepticons to extinction and thrown humanity into a permanent Dark Age. In the final throes of death, Megatron infects humanity with a virus that mutates a third of the population into Decepticon/human hybrids. Humanities only hope of survival against the next generation of evil is to locate the Autobots weapons of war hidden amongst the ruins of civilization.

Troy resides in South Carolina with his wife, son, and three beautiful daughters where he can be found whittling away at his latest project with one hand and chasing his spawn with the other. A full life keeps his mind active and in tune with the fear of the unknown and questioning the nightmares that define him.
